To make nutmeg tincture, start by crushing whole nutmeg seeds into small pieces. Place the crushed nutmeg seeds in a clean glass jar and cover them with high-proof alcohol, such as vodka or rum. Seal the jar tightly and store it in a cool, dark place for at least 2-4 weeks, shaking it occasionally. After the maceration period, strain the liquid through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean bottle. Your nutmeg tincture is now ready to use in culinary or medicinal applications. **
